The goal is to pick players who MAKE the cut.
I think your proposed scoring method is too extreme.

true, though we've been about 50% on that so far,.. the cuts throw a fuck into our game scoring,.. I don't think BB's proposal penalizes players enough on the final 2 rounds for not making the cut

I think the fact that they don't get the opportunity to improve their score is penalty enough.

By deducting their over score at the cut you have already levied a heavy burden on your other players to play well enough to overcome their virtual teammates ineptitude.

That's why I liked dollars won in the beginning. If your player(s) missed the cut, tough shit. No money for that week.
If we aren't going to go with money, then I say count the scores for all four players.
