That's the way they do it in Jersey. I went to the same small place for a breakfast sandwich almost everyday, and had to remind them every time -- NO KETCHUP. Even still, they got it wrong about 1/3 of the time. My Dad grew up a Yankee, so eggs/ketchup wasn't new for me, so I'd eat it anyway.

I think my only weird combination isn't so weird -- "tuna surprise" that I started making when times were tight.
    • Couple cans of tuna
    • can of peas
    • can of tomatoes
    • diced onion
    • pickles
    • some kind of bean (garbanzo, kidney, pinto.) I tried baked beans in it once, and that didn't go well.

i have eggs bacon and cheese on a roll with ketchup 3 days a week. it is always served by somebody who doesnt speak english. they always ask: "solpepketch?", which is mangled english asking if i want salt and pepper and ketchup, which i always do.

i wasnt aware that ketchup on eggs was a regional thing, they dont do that everywhere?

That's one of the few things I can usually eat when I'm sick. Go figure.

I always thought it was. Given the number of legit coonasses on here that are saying they eat eggs/ketchup, I'm thinking there may be two regions that like it.
