1. Can't somebody explain why we will play #12 West Virginia if we win the SEC and go to the Sugar Bowl? Why not Notre Dame or Penn State? I understand that West Virginia gets an automatic invite to the BCS, but why do we get stuck playing them? Let #3 play #4 or #5!!!
  2. Stuck playing WV? Um, you had may want to actually watch football this year. WV is a damn good team and I'm not so sure this will be an easy game for the Tigers.

BUT, you have to get by UGA first and by the way LSU dropped passes and played not-so-good against Arky, i'd focus on UGA now and not worry about getting "stuck" playing WV.

Watching college football may answer some questions you have in the past...So pay attention now. :dis:
  3. LOL... I think he was talking about the fact that we have to play someone who isn't even in the top ten a la Illinois is 2001 (I think it was 2001.) We'd much rather play someone with a name like Penn State or ND for obvious reason, WV (no matter how good, and good they are) isn't a big name in college football. They're not a Miami, Oklahoma, Florida State, Michigan, USC, etc etc etc. LSU won't gain as much if they throttle WV as they would if they barely beat (or barely lost) to a big named school--no matter how good they were.

On the other hand, what happened to Bama? Why do teams go to **** after we play them? Arizona State, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Bama.... I guess Bama really hasn't gone to ****, but they didn't look as impressive as they did before they played LSU. Of course AU is looking decently good... damn it upsets my stomach to say that
  4. I would explain and tell why...But it would just be an "excuse"....So I will plead the fifth on this one. Besides, you should know why.
  5. It's all based on order of selection. And West Viginia is a pretty good team.
  6. I know why, because they had only played 1 good game before they played us (UF), and their offensive line sucks, and they can't score on anyone...

The same reasons why they almost lost to MSU and Ole Miss
  7. Because our offensive line was a question mark before the season anyway. When Closner went down it didn't help. Prothro going down didn't help. Hard to score when your QB is pressured EVERY snap. We aren't a deep team. Yes, injuries are a part of the game...Bama fans know that more than anyone (i.e. losing the WHOLE backfield last year). We still needed to go out there and play...9-2 wasn't expected at all--so what happened? We did better than expected!

We played LSU really good...We didn't against AU. They scored 21 points in the first quarter and we couldn't recover. Kind the opposite of "what happened" with LSU agaisnt UT. We are still a good team and I think a bowl win over TT is on the horizon.
  8. You play TTech?

I'll be honest, I don't think that is a good matchup...

LSU proved how to expose your defense with quick hitters, etc...

And that is all they do, so that could be a tough matchup... But at the same time, that is a team you can score on

I pull for all SEC teams in their bowls though, so good luck
  9. You can look at their offense and know that they can score. Key is that they line up 4 and 5 wide. We have the DB's to cover and very good safeties. This leaves the line very vulnerable to our Dline and the blitz. They haven't seen an SEC defense like this yet.

On the offensive side of the ball...First things first, they dont have the Dline that LSU nor AU has so that makes it somewhat easier. Still, we are very weak on the Oline so I suspect Darby to get LOTS of carries so we can control the clock and keep their O off the field. Plus, they allow 160 ypg rushing...

I also think it will be a good game and honestly, I think we will win mostly because they haven't seen pressure like they will from our line!
  10. Hats off... that summed it up pretty well...
