Doubtful we could get kids we haven't been recruiting to walk on at LSU when they have full ride offers from some top programs.
hmmm... if LSU could pull that, i think it would say a lot about the program and the confidence in the program of the players... but, honestly, i'm not so sure that a kid would come to LSU as a walk-on while he could go to countless other schools fully paid. jmo.
are players like Fleshman and Farrer on schollie? if so put em on TOPs and give it to Scottie Reynolds and/or Jeremy Mayfield. i doubt either will ever see the court, other than a blow out, their entire 4 years at LSU. :lsup:
Unless this is a sign of things to come & we start signing 5 star athletes every year, both those guys could become serious contributors to our team.
Dandy: In basketball recruiting, I do not have any late breaking news to report on Darrell Arthur and Scottie Reynolds. I did hear from a person who was on the same flight with Reynolds who said that Reynolds' eyes and face lit up regarding LSU. I talked to another person who saw Reynolds and Coach Brady at Champs in Baton Rouge and said that Reynolds looked to be having a great time.
