1. was it I was watching when the tigers where playing somewhere there was a building on fire in the background.
  2. LSU-Auburn. At Auburn. '97, I believe.
  3. I thought it was Auburn.
  4. But now I'm unsure of where it was played. Help, anyone?
  5. It was the Auburn game in Auburn, Alabama, on September 21, 1996. I was sitting in the upper deck across the stadium from the fire during the first half. It was a strange feeling to see those huge flames seemingly leaping over the other side of the stadium while the game continued to be played. What a great game, though.
  6. No doubt SoLa. It was surreal.
  7. I was in the other upper deck (the one closest to the old gym that was burning) and got to go look at it from one of the ramps. You could feel the heat from the fire and the flames were huge! We went back to check it out the next day and it was totally burned to the ground and still smoking. Sucks for those fans that thought they had a great parking spot right next to that building.
  8. My van was right by that gymnasium! The fire was started by Aubies who burned my van!!! :D
  9. Yup. I was there too.
  10. It was Auburn, in '96. The building belonged to the athletic department and a lot of books belonging to the athletes, among other things, were burned. When he heard about it, an obviously sympathetic Steve Spurrier said, "The real shame was that over half of them hadn't even been colored in yet." Lol.
