EWE had been convicted in his first trial? How would state politics be different today?

I have a good idea what WOULDN'T have happened--no Slay The Dragon speech, no Roemer administration, no Runoff from Hell, no Foster cutting a deal with Crookwards to keep Cleo in the governor's race, etc.

But I have no clue what WOULD have happened. Any thoughts?

He would have served his sentence and then gotten elected as governor again.
