1. Ok, it looks like some kind of paddle grip, not a ring grip so it isn't meant to pull hard on something. It has teeth so it is intended to pin or punch something fairly soft. Some kind of upholstery tool, perhaps.

    Or maybe a tool to clean out something like cotton gin teeth.

  3. I'm sticking with some sort of stretching tool, leather or fabric, maybe even carpet but I can't imagine them having carpet at such a time to use a tool that prehistoric!
