I'm thinking Martin is right. It's like the feet on my old Technics SL-1200 turntables that isolated the turntable from the vibration of the sound system, except tiny. Maybe used in disc drives?
I used to sell Clippard Minimatic cylinders. Their smallest was a 5/32" bore. Looks just like it. Gonna try to post a pic - it's a pdf though. I don't know if it will post. ETA: It wouldn't show up.
