1. I am the same way about baking. I think maybe it's too regimented and I tend to go off the reservation. Always a disaster for me.

    As to the Cuban bread? Start with finding a Cuban restaurant and ask them where they get it. Or better still, ask them to make you one. The roast pork and the press make a difference too.

    I suppose I could try to make one, but I have plenty of Cuban friends with restaurants so that appeals to my naturally lazy side.
