Kyle, you really enjoy cooking and eat well. Do you guys eat together often...with Hayley being a teenager? If so that's quite an accomplishment !!

Kobe Beef Sliders with Balsamic Grilled Onions, crispy bacon pieces, and sharp cheddar. Then I ate a few of the patties by themselves.

Pan Fried Duck Dumplings with a homemade sweet chili type sauce.

My chef friend got the kobe beef for free through his meat company.

almost every day. I usually am done w/ work in time to pick the kids up from school and try to have dinner on the table at 6-6:30. That's our family time. It is tough though with all of the kids' activities. But, it's a priority.

On Sundays, our big meal is lunch. Today, we had pork chops w/ a raspberry/balsamic glaze, rice and salad for lunch after church.

I usually get the kids to help prepare our meals. It teaches them how to cook, shows them how much time it takes, gives us more time to talk, and gives them a vested interest in trying new things that they ordinarily wouldn't try.

I was going to cook tonight, but my five-year-old was sent home from a friend's house vomiting. So, I had a chicken flatbread sandwich from Subway. Damn strong.

I think you have what it takes to open that place you talked about. The biggest indicator of success is you're happy doing it so you're willing to work. Try to get a location with character instead of a strip mall if you can. Keep the overhead low. and figure out how much you have to sell to cover it.
