What's the difference in an au fan and an ua fan. They're both Alabama natives mostly. I see them at each others throats but it's like two brothers fighting, two turds floating in the same toilet to me. Each say the other is a stupid redneck. To me as an lsu fan they're both rednecks from Alabama. Tiger bait! What am I missing here?
Not sure but it happens in every state that has only 2 major college athletic programs. Alabama people are just a lil more crazy...
From my limited perspective, the Bama fans are more of a down-to-earth background and prone to Updyke extremism and the Auburn fans are a bit snoottier in general with wanna-be-elitist attitude. I believe someone on this forum sig line states it very well, “I got my Auburn tshirt because I went to Auburn, you got you Bama tshirt because you went to Wal-mart." However, the generally accepted, succinct verison is as follows: Auburn is trying to build a football program that the university and the Auburn family can be proud of. Alabama is trying to build a university that the football team can be proud of.
