Did not play. Saban said that would be the case before the game. Almost impossible to play 4 different tailbacks in a game. Hard enough trying to get 3 in a rhythm.
Whats curious to me is that Jacob Hester ran the ball once or twice. Dont get me wrong, I think Jacob looks like he is going to be one hell of a player in the future but I am surprised to see Carey behind him at this point. I know Jacob is playing some full back but I think he ran the ball as a RB in the first half.
My opinion is that Saban is not yet comfortable enough this year with Shyrone due to the layoff. And what happens, Hester fumbles the damn ball. Wasn't our day.
Yeh, there is going to be some growing pains with Hester (as with any other player) but he looks smooth running and catching the ball. Everybody was bitching when he came aboard because he was a 2 star player from Evangel. I can see him being a real good player at LSU in the future though. Yesterday was hopefully just a misalignment of the stars in the universe. That game just plain sucked.
