1. He is a pitcher from new orleans. rangers just drafted him 10th overall. i hope he wasn't an lsu recruit for next year
  2. He played for UNO, he was a very good pitcher
  3. for him being drafted 10th, he musta been one helluva pitcher
  4. Jeremy Sowers went 6th to Cleveland...

Rice had 3 pitchers in the Top 8 ... I have no clue how they lost to Texas Southern, but glad they did!
  5. Diamond played for Rummel HS against me all the time. Whats odd is that he wasn't good whatsoever in HS. Had great stuff but no control. Guess he got that under control
  6. SouthLink, what HS did you go to?

Are you positive about his control? He must of just exploded once he got to college because it is otherwise a tragedy that LSU did not offer him.
  7. hundreds of stars have to be passed over due this stupid Title IX which has crippled many sports to an extent that players have to now go to lesser colleges so they can get a full ride. Many cant attend due to $$ reason. Title IX is a joke.
  8. Good call Tirk, I forgot about that damn thing. Title IX is a real detriment to sports. I remember reading in the TP today that his dad drives Charles Chips trucks, so I guess that unless he got a full ride to LSU, he had no chance to come here (although Rummel isn't exactly cheap either). Then again, I don't think anyone gets a full ride w/ baseball schollies, just partial. Maybe someone can clarify that for me.
  9. Jesuit
  10. There is a limited amount of scholarship money to dole out. There are no prohibitions to offering a full ride, but when you give that stud left hander a full scholly then you have to do without a couple of infielders who would provide valuable depth. It's a chess match and I think our coaches/ADs are pretty damn good at it.
