    Texas, Florida, Nevada and Delaware have zero state income taxes. Delaware dosen't even have a sales tax, according to a friend who used to live there.

    yeah but Texas has franchise taxes and crazy property taxes. They're gonna get you one way or another.

    oregon has no sales tax.

    at least when i lived there, tennessee had no income taxes.

    this. i had an uncle that moved to texas after he retired to be closer to his children and grandchildren. he stayed two years and then had to move because he couldnt afford the "other" taxes in texas on his retirement income.
