He will either win the game, and be confident that he will have the starting job next year, OR he will lose the game and realize that he's no great prize for some school out there. Better to wait it out at LSU. If JR plays one more year and RP starts as a soph, what are the chances that RP makes it though two seasons without injury?? Not very good.
RP made it through 4 seasons of high school getting tackled EVERY play without getting hurt... in college, he won't be asked to run nearly as often... he will be fine...
I hope you're right clair. I really do think Ryan Perrilloux is the next big time QB in college football, IMO.
I just love how posters like the one mentioned above talk about how much he runs... he isnt an option QB... he just kinda had to be in high school...
What happens if he wins and he thinks he has the starting job next year? Over Russell and Perrilloux he would really have to be dreaming. If he does not start next year and he thinks he should I think he will transfer. Win or Lose he will not even be a back up next year. LSU is bound to pick up a better QB recruit in the next 2 years. I do think that Flynn would transfer but not based on in this game. It will be based on where he will fit in the Depth Chart next season.(Probably 3rd) The truth is he will remain on the sideline if he stays at LSU. If he transfers to a school in need of a QB than his college career could look brighter.
Well... when I seen him play, he played on both side of the ball and had 5 touchdowns before the first half. He threw for 2 ran for 2 and ran an Int back for 1 from the safety position.
I'm not sure if the point of the post was to say Perrilloux is particularly prone to injury or not, but just because he made it through high school without an injury doesn't imply that he can't get injured at some point. Remember that Marcus Randall got an injury that kept him out all summer in a spring game.
Well I am just responding to the clown who promised he would get hurt in college... And Grad... did you ever go to an ESJ game? They either would run QB draws, or they would roll Perrilloux out, and he would throw it at the last second and take a hit... So, yes, on about 90% of offensive plays, he WAS getting hit...
