1. im not very tech savvy, but I've got a shop in my backyard about 2 feet from my house and need a wifi boost. I can get a weak signal from my router that's in the middle of the house, but need a little boost out back. I've found a couple at Best Buy that would do the trick, in theory, but wanted to see if any of you nerds had any suggestions. Thanks for your help and thread hijacking in advance
  2. Donuts won't work? Try the bear claw

  4. It's Obama's fault
  5. Waiting poopoo peepee to throw in some o2 stats real quick to explain why my wifi range doesn't donut
  6. I would just buy one and return if doesn't work. I use one to reach my guest house but would rather a second router setup as an access point. However, I am not tech savvy enough to find time to do that.

For the wifi extender...aim to get one that matches the brand of the router you have for easier setup and less hassle.

Or you could upgrade to a more powerful router and see if that works. Return it if not.

  7. Would that be glazed or dusted? I could go either way, but I'd like a professional opinion
  8. They work, here's the deal with routers and extenders and things like, buy cheap get cheap. Try the Netgear AC2200. There are deals on these things from time to time but the lower the price the shittier the device.

Also it may just be a router issue as well, what kind of router do you have?
  9. I'll have to check when I get back home. Probably a shitty surfboard. I saw the AC1200 was under $100 and thought about that
  10. Glazed. If you go dusted, it gets all over your shirt and pants. From a professional standpoint
