1. :geaux: Would've liked to have got him though. Auburn always has outstanding LB's and they're lucky to keep him. Hope you're right about Chavis. If we get him our "D" will be just fine next year.
  2. Thanks for the awesome insight.
  3. no problem.

I don't have any insider info in the situation at all.

I just think it's funny how you can mix and match any situation or scenario into how you want it to play out.

It's not a knock on you. I love the optimism.

I just have no doubt that had Willis been annouced at LSU that you'd have probably also said: "Chavis is in the bag. Being he's a LB guy, he wants to make sure that side of the defense is taken care of."

I love your optimism. You remind me of me with the Cowboys.
  4. To answer your insinuation, no, I'm not certifiably nuts. :thumb:
  5. Willis is an Auburn alum. I doubt he would've chosen LSU over Auburn, so I don't think this has any meaning about our DC at all.
  6. Right, he was born in Huntsville, Alabama, and he was a three-year starter at LB for Auburn in the early 90's (first-team All-SEC, 5th Round Draft Pick). After his NFL career, he went back to Auburn to begin his coaching career. He was a grad assistant at Auburn from 2001-2003 (serving under DC Gene Chizik), while earning his bachelors degree from Auburn in 2003. Since 2006, he has been the LB coach at Auburn.

  7. I would have loved to have him as LB coach!
