1. :(

I just thought of this... tell me if it's crazy?

    imagine this scenario

osu-um ncg.... UM wins by 3

usc plays rose bowl, and when the committee selects, they select the at large team they think usc will most easily beat...

usc blows out... say, west virginia or boise state or LSU or notre dame... just whatever team they think gives them the best chance at a huge win...

then the ROSE BOWL champ USC gets another split nat'l championship

this is a serious possibility, and if you think the rose bowl has nothing to gain by doing this... you're wrong...

the rose bowl will sell out and have great ratings regardless... then they can also say 3 of the last 4 nat'l champions has come from the rose bowl, AND THAT the two conferences in the rose bowl (pac10 and big10) have 4 titles in 4 years (usc split in 03, title in 04, usc this year, and osu/um this year)

    this blows
  2. if michigan beats OSU i doubt anybody would put USC over them. Hell if Temple beat OSU I'd crown them champs.
  3. trust me, winning the bcs title game doesnt mean you won't have to split the nc :(
  4. see but unlike 03, osu still is the #1 team in the human polls. The #1 team in the polls WILL be playing in the title game against the #2/#3. OSU is so far ahead of everybody I can't see a victor not being crowned....then again we are talking about USC so you never know
  5. USC WILL HAVE 2 LOSSES.....MICHIGAN WOULD HAVE ONLY 1 LOSS, TO THE TEAM THEY PLAYED IN THE NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!

I don't know what else to say. I feel like captain obvious.
  6. i thin he means if somehow usc beats ND and FUCLA but is held out of title game
  7. Oh well that ain't happening.

USC's boost in the computer polls this week will be enough to propel them to 2nd in the BCS, much less the win over UCLA next week, which will only enhance their computer polls.
  8. trust me, we both know that if the media wants osu michigan, the media will get osu michigan
  9. So USC beats Notre Dame and UCLA, and some of the human pollsters based on those outcomes, move USC down to #3 on their ballots, moving Michigan up to #2.

That's what you're asking to have happen.

It's not impossible, but there would be a federal investigation, senate hearings, etc to take away voting priveleges from a lot of people.
