A poll like this is utterly worthless. Opinion polls in general are worthless. The poll taker usually has an agenda and the results of the poll are used to promote that agenda. The poll questions are usually highly loaded and psychologically manipulative. example. "Do you think republicans should compromise with President Obama and increase revenues along with cuts?" Most people are too ****ing dumb to understand that increase revenues means increasing taxes and the word "compromise" is thought of as being nice and reasonable. Who doesn't want to be nice? Not to mention the mere question insinuates that republicans are being "uncompromising", a word that is generally thought of negatively. It also subconsciously frames the argument around Obama being the "reasonable" one. In our top story of the day, 75% of Americans think republicans should compromise with President Obama. Aside from the total bull**** angle of the polling, most people usually mean everyone in congress except "their guy".
