I saw that a few days ago. The ump said Patrick Peterson forgot to drag his foot and never touched first base.
Yeah I had seen that on another forum. It mistakingky was made an issue of her being in/out the box but was not about that, obviously for many reasons, to anyone who understands softball. On that play the umpire had to just have been out to lunch. Wish there was more vid cause any coach worth a dang politely calls timeout and asks 1st base ump if he can ask his partner on appeal. Hopefully the plate ump moved on the hit and wasn't day dreaming, and able to see- IF the base ump grants appeal. Many people think the plate ump has more authority but that's not true.
Probably has something to do with the referee being the leader of a football officiating crew, but IINM, each team of umps has a crew chief, but they rotate positions every game in a series.

Softball. Now there is something you don't see a lot of coloreds in. At least not around where I live.
