Coming to The Tigers from Karl Duh*rell and the little gutties.

Good news is, he was a WR for the Huskies in 1991 when they won the NC so he knows what it looks like but he didn't play as a freshman so he doesn't know what it feels like. He only spent 2 years in westweird (came from Central Florida) before coming to ya'll.

Bad news is, last year the ruin wide receivers averaged 11.6 yards per catch while LSU's receivers were at 13.4. Doesn't seem like much of a difference but with somewhere in the neighborhood of 200-250 completions a year, that can add up.

Feel free to talk amongst yourselves. :hihi: I hear he doesn't do real well in OT periods but I'll have to check that out.

    Contained Chaos Don't we all?

From what I hear, a good number of his players ended up getting drafted, despite the fact that he wasn't surrounded by the most talened bunch.

But, certainly you're not comparing Russell to whomever UCLA's QB was, now are you?

I dont really care much about WR coach position, I see it this way. We have a good OC and talented players, so....

Thanks vball. Not worried about dem numbas cause this ain't UCLA. Winning games like 13-9...... hard to imagine his receivers with such high averages. :hihi:

That is another valid point. Russell was known for looking for the big play first, then for the average play.

UCLA's QB really struggled, plus their WRs were young from what I hear.

I can't remember the number, but he put quite a few receivers in the NFL (not necessarily drafted - I think only one of them was drafted) from small-time schools.

Not to mention our receivers too. :thumb:

Uh, no.....not even close. On that basis, LSU's average per pass last season was 8.9 and utla was at 6.5. That's more of a QB comparison and there isn't much of one.

It's great for the players if they get drafted but for college football fans, show me the money NOW.

13, as in the total combined number of points the Tigers put up against Auburn AND Florida? That would be 3+10 for you tiga.........I know math isn't your best subject. I hear you're really good at counting with your fingers though. :hihi:
