1. To save face but he'll drop it.
  2. I have no doubt. Didn’t he do the same thing in the UK somewhere and they told him to go fuck himself?
  3. Yeah this is life of a professional shark. They are always looking for an edge. One guy sued him over a round of golf bc ivey lied about his handicap.
  4. How did that turn out? Did it ever make it to court?
  5. Settled out of court and an nda apparently since no one will discuss details.
  6. If the guy played him with no evidence of his cap then he deserved to lose.
  7. Damn, see I didn’t know all of those details, that seems like cheating, if you request the right elements to provide you with a way to read cards. He basically used his status to fuck them.
  8. The casino agreed to all of his terms before he played a single hand. It's just that when he used those agreed upon terms to kick their ass that they cried foul.

They would have gladly taken his money. That's why they agreed to it in the first place. They assumed that the odds would be stacked in their favor just like they are in every other game in the damn Casino.
el005639 and Bengal B like this.
  9. Fair point, they actually should have known something was up when all those strange requests are made, unless that’s common.
  10. I totally agree. I have to side with Phil on this one. Casinos have every edge possible but when somebody comes along and tilts that edge ever so slightly in their own favor they cry foul. Ivey is lucky he didn't get taken out to the desert and shot.
