1. I have seen lots of kick returners run the ball after catching a kickoff deep into the end zone but I have never seen anybody take a knee on the one yard line after crossing the goal line. Addai was telling him the whole time not to run and then when he crossed the goal Addai turned around to block and then Carter took a knee.
  2. that wont happen again. he will do very well for this team. tough play however. just seemed to not be LSU's day.. 9-2 will be good
  3. actually....I have seen it before.....Oregon St....it was week 2 this year I believe...
  4. in experiance. no more. He'll be a great one in a year or so.
  5. Don't blame the Xman

If you want to blame someone....
Blame JV for a fumble to help Georgia build there momentum and the lead.
Turnovers hurt far more than what Carter did.

If JV wouldn't have fumbled there maybe they would be up by 7 at the half.
then again we got out played the 2nd half too.

JV has fumbled way too much this year and I don't think we will see him next
week, maybe not for 3 games similar to AB after the Arizona game last year.

I think we play in this game for maybe 20 minutes instead of 60.
  6. Now that it's all said and done, you have to admit, that was pretty damn funny. I thought he had realized he was out of the endzone, I was expecting him to take off, then PLOP! Down to one knee! I sat there with my jaw on the ground, then I had to laugh.

X-man will be a star here, but damn, that pretty much put this game storyline all in one play.
  7. Quite simply, he wanted to run, Addai told him to kneel down, and he lost sight of where he was on the field. He took the knee thinking he was still in the EZ. Bone headed play? Absolutely. Will it ever happen again to the young man? Never. He will move on.
  8. He is a freshmen, he will make mistakes. I had to laugh though. If you think about it, it really was quite hilarious. At that point in the game I kinda got a hunch that we weren't coming back so I decided to lighten my mood....sorry if no one else found it funny. Complaining about it wont change the outcome of the game and I am sure by the time he graduates this play will be the very LEAST of our worries. He did end up scoring a touchdown later you know....

Captain Optimism says: "You can rest assured he will NEVER do that again! That is one mistake you can't not learn from." :thumb:
  9. It was one of "those" things... He won't do that ever again, I'm sure.... That memory is going to haunt him for a long time though... I feel bad for the kid.
  10. Richard from Kaplan did it for USL years ago.
