The Times/picayune reported this morning, that Xavier Carter has chosen LSU over Florida. It was in a small article near the center of the sports section. I guess the T/P doesn't realize what a great recruit this kid is. There is no mention though, if this was a signed letter of intent. Sounds like a verbal agreement. Is the Advocate saying anything?

There are no written commitments yet. Until February 4th, all high school players can only give their Verbal....Only February 4th, he will sign his written committment though...

He can't sign a letter of intent until Feb. 4th. Until that day, ALL commitments are verbal.

Carter confirms what all of us know, Saban is head and shoulders above Zook.

Kid seems to have a pretty good head on his shoulders. Mom is an LSU alum and Dad went to Southern. I think that almost makes him a LA. recruit. He's also got family here. I'm sure he'll be very comfortable in BR.

Call me conservative , but I wasn't too thrilled about the whole superman video and picture shoot. But I think a kid should tone it down a little until after he proves himself on the collegiate level. It puts a target on his back before he even walks on the field. Its a distraction, something Saban does not want. I know some of you may disagree, so let me hear your opinion.
