I was thinking the same thing. They shouldn't be on either list. Put them in a major conference first.
yea i agree, NU was more dominant in the 90's but i think OU has more undefeated seasons than losing seasons, thats amazing, OU, i think has more conference championships than Nebraska too
I didn't say all time winningest... I meant dominant in the eyes of the U.S., LSU has been a great team over the years, but if you ask someone in Kansas or Utah who the most dominant football teams in America have been recently, and in the past.... and thats what my list was based on.
Kansas or Utah? Toto and dorothy you mean? pay no attention to that man behind the Curtain. KTeam, which is it man, you are contradicting yourself. do you want to know what Toto and the wicked witch think ( top ten ) OR do you want to know who was most dominant in terms of championships ....undefeated season .... as you indicated above. I am sorry I have no link to Dorothy and toto's top ten of college football, but I'm sure toto is a TIGER FAN! :thumb: :geaux: jus messin wif ya man! :thumb:
Sorry, but a team can't be on the way up and at the same time be on the way down. That makes no sense.
You're wrong on a few things, TE. I agree Michigan does belong on the top list, I don't see how the original poster didn't know that. Michigan is top three easily. If we're talking recognized name on the college football front, Nebraska takes OU in that category. If talking traditionally dominant, OU gets the slight edge. Nebraska football has been in existence for a little longer than Okalahoma football and still OU stacks up better in most categories when it comes to field performance. Nebraska....5 national championships....46 conf. chmp....bowl record 22-21....all time record 789-311 Oklahoma....7 national championships...36 conf. chmp....bowl record 23-13-1....all time record 737-284 To add a cherry on top, OU leads the head to head series....40-37 I, along with most college football fans, would have to say that Notre Dame is known just as much as Bama if not more as a traditionally dominant program. Not only is Notre Dame a more nationally recognized name, but they stack up well in the numbers as well......Bama has 10 national championships and is 758-293 all time......Notre Dame has 11 national championships and is 796-258 all time. And again to add a little cherry on top, Notre Dame leads the head to head series...5-1. Also, I know it's your opinion that Penn St. doesn't belong in the top ten, but you won't find too many folks out there that would agree with you on that. Take a poll from unbiased fans and you'll find Penn. St. in the top ten more often than not.
For I-of-the-Tygrr, Before Bobby FSU all time winning record was: 150-130-13 for a winning percent of 53.4% So in the last 29 years Bobby has gone: 269-70-4 for 79.4% That mainly in the very weak ACC, out of confernce and vs the SEC Bobby winning percent drops to around 60%. But in the last 4 years Bobby over all winning percent is dropping fast(81.0+%). As is his avg for wins a year from 10.5 a year to 8.5 while his loss avg. is on the rise from 2.2 (thats including his frist season, which is 11% of his losses) a year to 3.75. FSU will with the NEW ACC alinement lose 3-4 games a year, which is well over Bobby's avg all time of 2.4 a year.
I understand that, but you cannot make a list of programs on the way up and make a list of programs on the way down and put the exact same team on each list. It might make more sense if you had a list of team that used to be on their way up and are now on the way down, but a team cannot be on the way up while it's on the way down. That just makes little sense.
