Can someone explain how the MLB draft works? I saw a guy for the other team yesterday and it said he was a 1st round draft pick for some MLB team. Why is he in college? I have seen this before where it will show a college kid and where he was drafted, but still playing college ball. Can anyone explain?
You can be drafted out of H.S. and not go pro and play college ball. You can also be drafted as a college Jr. and turn pro or stay for your Sr. season and go pro afterwards.
