I think everyone knew this was coming but what is still up in the air is WHO will replace him? Besides, the UF fans never liked Zook.

Yea, i kinda figured that he would be gone after this. I just think it was a bad move to anounce it now. I think they should have just waited till the end of the season.

I wonder about the timing too but do you let controversy swirl around till the end of the season or get it over with now? Not really any way to win this one for Florida. I think Foley should be axed too but who cares. Its just funny how Florida has gone back to what they always were before Spurrier...mediocre.

Foley is trying to save his own skin. After Frat-gate and then losing to the worst team in the SEC, Foley just could no longer support Zook or he would risk being taken down with Zook after the season.

  8. I feel bad for Zook but I dont think he has what it takes to coach in a pressure cooker like FL. He would probably be a good Utah State kinda coach.

I wonder about the timing, too. This is early to fire a head coach without having another ready to step in right away. It's got to be for recruiting. They need to salvage the current commttments and propects and need time to do it. They will also be first in line for whoever the best available coach is.

OK, maybe the second best. I suppose Darth Visor wouldn't be returning.

    Would he?

Do you think that if they go undefeated and blow out the remainder of their competition that they would change their minds?

This can't help the already low morale of the team. Great idea to do it in the middle of the season.
