You mean the Gumps' sure-fire Heisman winner doesn't even crack the 1st round?

My guess is Beckham will be drafted first because he is more "explosive", and for his return ability. Teams know they can reap the rewards of his return game as soon as he steps on the field, even if he struggles at the WR position early on. Landry is going to be one of the best slot receivers in the NFL within 3 years.

If Beckham had Landry's hands, he would be a top 5 pick in the draft.

Gimme Landry all day everyday. The dude is brawler at the receiver position, he bounces off tackles, treats the middle of the field and opposing corners like his bitch. He loves contact, he will claim the football and make anyone trying to take it look stupid.

He will be a beast in the NFL in my opinion.

I think you are probably right about OBJ getting drafted higher though because he is going to have one of those really freakish combines.

I would take Landry over Beckham as well.

    He is the complete package.

Between these two it's like comparing apples to apples, both are great WR. If both come out, I would be shocked if there were 10 picks between them. They both do many things very well. Landry could come in from day one and be a gunner on punt coverage. He will come across the middle against anyone.

As for OBJ, he runs a curl route as well as anyone in college. Kickoff and punt returns come into play from day one.

Since Cam has gotten here, we have seen more use of the route tree. Both high point the ball very well, both have great hand/eye coordination. Both do too many things well.

Remember this, late in the first round means they could end up on a very good team. The Pats will looking for some help, you never know where Bill will be picking. Another team to keep an eye on has a former LSU player coaching the WR position, Denver has Tyke Tolbert, an everyone knows Del Rio likes to keep up with the Tigers.

Best of luck to these two, gonna be fun to see in the NFL.

Oh, too add, one scout I know has OBJ rated a little higher than Landry, but not by much. He too has this one too close to call

    Really depends on who's picking.

I bet if there isn't a RB that Arizona really really likes (and there probably won't be), they'll pick one of those guys. That team doesn't have a lot of glaring weaknesses and have the luxury of being able to target pure skill.

Another team I thought of for a guy like OBJ...his hometown Saints. Watching Monday night, it was obvious since Devery left that many defenses don't respect any of the Saints receivers on deep speed routes like fly routes and posts. Odell could be an asset there.
