Anyone ever make pork pattis? Just got Paul Kirk's "Championship Barbecue" book and saw he had a "Pig Burger". I know we like a little ground pork in our rice dressing but had never thought about pork burgers- or maybe even 1/4 ground pork and 3/4 beef.

Also, any special additions you add to yours?

would a pork patti be like a breakfast sausage pattie but larger? I do grind bacon with chuck steak when I make a burger pattie. My family loves that taste.

    No, not at all.

I put 2 lbs. ground beef with 1 lbs ground pork. Made extra patties to keep in freezer for quick meal while I was making a mess. I also put a splash of worcestershire sauce and onions cut REAL small as to not keep burger from compacting/staying together.

I thought it was very good (but I love hamburgers on the pit as much as a steak).
I made a comment to wife that it was good but not noticeably better. She said it was THE most delicious burger she'd ever tasted.

One time when I was out of hamburger meat I made patties out of Jimmy Dean pork sausage and made burgers. Pretty good. Another time I used Jimmy Dean instead of ground meat for spaghetti and it was good.

Dam you skeered me with that "one time when". You, by chance, ever attend band camp?

I make a quick pot of Beans, real easy.

    One Onion sauteed.
1 Pack of Jimmy Deans Hot Breakfast Sausage cooked down.
3 Large cans of this ....

[IMG] Make sure its the one with Cilantro.

Twas a joke. A quote from the movie american pie.

This one chick always talked about things that happened at band camp...and no one was interested until the very end when she said, "This one time, at band camp....I stuck my flute up my pussy."
