Your beloved republicans will stop at nothing to make sure this isn't overturned. At least progressives and independents, and some democrats are working on a constitutional amendment to overturn citizens united. Which should be changed to "rich citizens united"

I'm light homie, I'm light. But 85% democrats, 100% of repubs have nothing to gain if it's overturned

I would think that this would be an issue most of us could all agree on, but the big players in Washington damn sure don't feel that way.

How can unlimited contributions not buy off politicians? Hell they were being bought off before this law.

What its done is completely change the dynamic of elections. It takes so much money to win a campaign that the highest priority for a politician is the rich donors rather than the constituents. Instead of convincing a million people to give $10, they get a corporation or a fat cat to pony up $10 million. And then they must cater to that element instead of the citizenry.

We need to limit the length of a campaign. In Britain they campaign for 16 weeks, that's it. No two-year presidential campaigns allowed. That would reduce the BS as well as the money needed to run for office. Maybe ordinary people could actually become a Senator. While they are at it they can get rid of primary elections with winner-take-all voting that keeps third parties from rising. And it would eliminate elections where the rest of the country has to select only from the people that are liked in Iowa or New Hampshire! And finally get rid of the Electoral College and go to a popular vote. It is a relict of the 18th century and the reasons for its implementation no longer exist.

    But they didn't ask me.
