http://fansided.com/2013/12/10/report-nick-saban-next-texas-longhorns-coach/ Not sure what to make of this. Only a short time ago a report came out that Bama was getting ready to offer him 7 million per year to stay.
Texas Source reported to Doucet that UT is offering Saban $100M over 10 years and 1% of Longhorn Network. The $7M Bama offer has been out to Saban for almost 3 days now.
I personally don't think he is going anywhere. This is sexton getting his client more money out of bama. He will be the highest paid coach in football and he will be at bama doing it. Frankly I hope he stays. LSU nor it's fans should want anything but playing the best. In the end this is nothing but entertainment. What has been more entertaining then the bama rivalry
Kicking the snot out of a Florida program that once thought it was on top of the football world forever.....like Bama does now.
Great point, plus Austin plus 10 million, plus 1% of the longhorn network is greater than anything and Tuscaloosa.
There's a ton of talent in Texas, but a bunch of schools fighting for it. aTm seems to be in a good spot, Baylor is building a new stadium and has come up, Texas Tech has people excited again, etc. It might be harder for LSU to pull kids out of Texas if Saban goes there, but it also might mean that Lousiana is easier to build a wall around. SEC kids want to play in the SEC most of the time, not the Big 12.
