Interesting thing to keep an eye on is the impending news that Penn State has hired away Miami's head coach (Al Golden). It's expected in the next couple of days as Miami is currently playing it's bowl game vs Louisville as we speak (and they look pitiful, head coach doesn't have his heart in it???).

That could mean a player like Valentine may indeed have his ties with Al Golden as much as he has with the Hurricanes program overall and decides to flip his commitment to LSU (he is on record as stating LSU would be the team he would be willing to flip for). Who knows.

Anyone going to the game? I'm thinking of heading that way and making the game.

I think he is a done deal to A&M. Now if Sumlin bolts, all bets are off.

Trying to think of the last successful 6'7" (or taller) WR. Harold Carmichael?

    LSUDad please chime in. lol

Valentine recruitment trending heavily in LSU's favor in the past few days.

I do think this is the "surprise" commitment that is going to flip to LSU. Will make for watching this game a bit more intriguing.

    Enjoy.

I know Jimmy Graham is 6'7", but splits wide more than in tight. Carmichael was 6'8" and the tallest to play the Wr position.

I believe he was the tallest WR at 6' 8''. Kansas City had a tight end play for Stram that was 6' 10''. His name was Morris Stroud I think.
