SportsNOLA.com: "Brossette (6'0, 210) is the best running back in south Louisiana, if not the state, outside of Leonard Fournette of St. Augustine. Brossette rushed for 2,118 yards and 44 touchdowns in 2012. Brossette already has offers from virtually every top school in the country, including LSU, Alabama, Florida State, Notre Dame and UCLA, among others."

Brossette and Xavier Lewis committed to LSU together because they are friends since their days of going to middle school together at Broadmoor Middle School Brossette said he wants to help 5-star Kevin Toliver (LSU's first commit of the class) as a leader helping to get other top recruits on board: "I just wanted to be the hometown kid to help Kevin Toliver to lead the class and get us to a national championship (caliber) level," Brossette said. And he enjoys competition at RB: "It'll just get our team better, basically, and I want to work for my position," Brossette said. "They're gonna make me better, and I'm gonna make them better, so that's how it's gonna go." http://www.nola.com/recruiting/index.ssf/2013/08/new_lsu_pledge_nicholas_brosse.html
