Make your plans now. This festival, now in it's 3rd year, is probably the best value out there for a two day live music festival.

    http://www.bogalusablues.com/

Voted Best New Event of the year by the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals and one of the Top 10 Must-See Festivals by the Louisiana Department of Tourism. You can actually get tickets for both days and a camping spot in the shaded area of Cassidy Park, complete with showers, for only $70.00 bucks. Tickets for each day are only $10.00. They have RV spots onsite, as well as plenty of hotel space in town. Make your plans now!

Some of the featured artists this year: JJ Grey and Mofro, Paul Thorn, Rutie Foster, Devon Allman, Mike Zito, Johnny Sansone, Walter "Wolfman" Washington, Big Daddy O and more.

I have been to this for the past two years. Fantastic festival. Make your plans people. They still have a few VIP tickets available also. This gets you 10 drink tickets as well as VIP parking and an air conditioned tent right by the main stage. I can't say enough good about this festival. National acts, small town feel. Fantastic!

I had never heard of Devon Allman before your post. I googled him. The son on Gregg Allman. If he is anywhere as good as his Dad and his uncle Duane it would be worth the trip just to see him

I have been the last 2 years. Fantastic event both times. I was blown away by the music last year. I had never heard of Paul Thorn, Walter Trout, or Ana Popovic. Every single one of them were off the charts good. Really nice venue as well.

My VIP ticket for this year (they are running out fast) cost $150. That gets you VIP parking both days, 10 drink tickets, and access to the VIP area that includes a large air conditioned tent by the stage. September 26 and 27.

By the way, it is a great venue for families/kids as well. The harmonica club of NOLA will be there giving free lessons to the kids. Every kid gets a free harmonica. Also, kids get into the festival free, I think. I will check with the organizer tomorrow and update this. Get there people!

The Festival starts tomorrow. I road through the park tonight after work. There were already about 30 campers set up, they are not even supposed to start arriving until tomorrow. Man I am fired up. Shane, get your self and the family down here. Kids get in free and get free harmonica lessons and a free harmonica. Lineup is fantastic, tickets only $15 at the gate, 2 stages going all day. I'll see y'all at Cassidy Park at 5pm Friday.
