Espn has him going to LSU. I know Brady has given him a basketball scholy, but does anyone believe that before it is all said and done he will be playing football at LSu.. I know because of the rules that if you play two sports and one is football then you have to be on football scholy. Does anyone know if TOPS can be used instead of giving him a BB scholy and let him walk-on

TOPS can be used and he can walk-on both teams if he decides to do so. My thoughts are that he will be BB only. Overlap between football and basketball doesn't work very well, as Spears can attest to.

but honestly, if this kid is thinking long term doesn't he have a better chance at playing pro football instead of basketball.

i haven't seen him play either, so i don't know.

I've seen him play both and I feel he would be better in fooball. That said his heart is in basketball and he is VERY good at his first love.

I watched him at the championship game his soph. year sitting behind some ladies from Port Barre. Before the game they were talking about how big he was and how he probally couldn't move.During the game he won them them over.

On on fastbreak he took a pass in front of the bench drove to the basket through two players and slamed it home. These fans got up and were "ewwwing" and laughing as it was a great play. I asked if they would Keep an eye on him. They replied "Oh yeah, he's good"

I saw Him in the LSU weight room with the Lsu players and he looked to be a little taller than Jamie. He does need to work on his conditioning but has good footwork and an amazingly soft shot for such a big man. Remember his Junior year he gained over a thousand yards as a running back playing both ways.

According to the scouts, he has a better shot at Basketball. Actually, they say that he could probably go pro in either sport, but in Basketball, if he lives up to his potential, will be a first round draft choice.

    i dont think so

I think Glenn is an excellent talent in both sports. However I do not feel as if he has a shot at going pro in basketball. I have seen him play numerous times in basketball and I do not feel that he will ever see the NBA. I do however think he could wind up being an all pro in football at tackle. I think he has a rather large man telling him to play bball and it def. isn't Brady. For anybody that knows the situation knows who I am talking about. I do feel after 1 year of Brady he will be coming to see Saban. This is just my two cents but I wish him luck at whatever he chooses. :geaux:

I have never seen him play, but I have read numerous places that Davis would be higher pick in the basketball draft. Dandy Don said it first and I didn't believe him, so I looked up his high school basketball rankings. Alot of people have him as being a three year player who will leave after his junior year and be a first round draft pick. I have never seen him in person, except at a LSU football game, so I am just speaking on what I read.

    abcd camp

I know he had a great camp this summer at the abcd camp. This really made his stock soar. However I had a real good friend that had a great camp at the addidas camp also and when it came time for him to sign it winded up being with UL due to size at his position. I feel this will also be a problem for Big Baby due to height. You are talking about a big difference from college to pro rank. Where does he fit in in the pros. I know people always bring up Barkley but he was a very rare individual. But in football he would be that rare find. His footwork is excellent. Im telling you this kid could be a unbeliveable tackle. However if Tasmin signs 2 years from now this will make Big Baby much better! :geaux:

If you count being one of the top players in AAU basketball camps (ABCD, Nike, etc) during the summers as a player having legitimate NBA potential then there is no denying that Big Baby has NBA potential. Last summer he was a top performer at those camps and impressed many NBA camps.

He probably could be a very good tackle in the NFL but if he wants to play basketball then that is fine with me and should be fine with everyone else, as if he cares. Besides, there is alot more money in the NBA than the NFL. Also, alot less wear and tear on his body if he wants to be able to walk without a limp for the rest of his life.

Everything I've read is that he is a lock to go pro in football but will really have to develop to go to the NBA, albeit these assessments were from football scouts.

Also, if he doesn't sign a football schollie instead of a basketball schollie, then he is ineligible to play football in college.
