Four missed field goals in regulation. That's how. It's part of the game but it was a significant factor in that loss.

There is no doubt LSU was one of the best teams in the country that season. That's the reason they were in the BCS--earned their way there. If we sit here and compare those two teams they are equally as talented. The title game came down to coaching and that wasn't close to equal in the BCS title game.

I don't know whether they could have won the title or not but the last rankings before the final ranking had them at #3. Then they won their last game convincingly, yet the committee dropped them all the way to #6. So before the last game the committee thought they were better than Ohio State by not just one spot but 2 or 3 since the Buckeyes were #5 or #6, I don't remember. So what made the committee think TCU was all of a sudden 3 spots worse than they had been the week before? Could it be that Ohio State would draw better TV ratings and that their fans travel in large numbers and spend lots of money?

So, what you're saying here is if the game outcome would have been reversed and Bama won in Tuscaloosa, the committe would have chosen Okie State over LSU? No freakin' way that happens.

You'd have a one loss LSU, a team that lost to the #2 team in the nation on the road. That's versus a Okie State team who also had a loss on the road--to a team that wasn't ranked. Using today's terminology, it's a bad loss versus a good loss. The BCS selections were based on resumes--both equally deserving.

I'm not on the field so my ass didn't get kicked at all. ;) Neither did Bama's. LSU was behind in total yards, in the number of first downs, and had a worse third down conversion rate. Turnovers? Equal. Penalties? LSU had one more. LSU had 50 more rushing yards with 10 more attempts. Bama had over 100 yards more passing than LSU with seven more completions. Ass kicking. That's a load, Winston. A load of bull shit.

Since you do nothing but spew it constantly it's easy to see how you would recognize it.

It's my opinion OSU wasn't chosen due to their resume. As one example, they had more wins against teams with winning records than TCU.

You're right they won their last game convincingly. A 50 point plus victory over a Iowa State team that lost 10 games that season. On the other hand, OSU won their game convincingly as well--a 59 point shutout of the 13th ranked Badgers. Which win was more impressive? Who had the better resume on the year? And, let's not just dismiss the selection committee had their 13th data point in the CCG (which drove the Big 12 to change.)

That’s not what the tears of the fans in the stands said. In spite of a strong home field advantage your team lost.

An example, if you don't mind. When I call bullshit, I supply ample reason for its label.

Step up to the table. Let's see what you have.

What the hell does the emotions of fans in the stadium have to do with what happened on the field? Or, to somehow support your assertion earlier in this thread.

Home field advantage, when it comes to Bama and LSU, has no significance in these contests. You should know that very well. LSU has won more ball games in Tuscaloosa than it has at home over the last three or four decades.

Too many examples to mention. You say ample reasons, we say more bullshit.
