I was on my way home this pm. SST was on my radio. They said Archie was not getting much criticism now. NOW that he(the mayor) was announcing that the Chargers will be allowed to move out in the 2008 season. Perhaps the Manning family had "privileged" information. Why go to a team with their record, a coach that may not be there before long, and a team that may not/will not even be there soon? What kind of ad campaign would be available? :D

Sure Archie even knew months in advance about th U.S. invasion of Iraq. He could have told the B.R. task force long long ago that Derrick Todd Lee was the serial killer. He also knew that Ole Myth didn't have a snowballs chance in hell of winning the SEC West. The Mannings know everything!!!! :geaux: :lsug: :champs:

If the San Diego mayor did announce this information I hardly think it's outside the realm of possibility that the Mannings knew about it before hand. It further explains Eli's decision.

I don't think it makes a difference. He should play for whomever chooses him first and pays him. If everyone does this there is no draft and its totally obsolete. He wants to play in the NFL he should adhere to the guidelines. Pathetic to me.

TE...sometimes you need to realize that you don't have to blast every single person that makes a mistake. Archie made a mistake. He had good intentions in that he wanted the best for his son. He made a mistake, and his opinion among fans has forced him to pay the price of that mistake...Archie isn't a joke and is a good man. A very nice man who did what most fathers thing about, but don't actually do....

So, no he isn't a joke...

I don't think this is any surprise, I don't know about the team moving.
But, what I'm talking about is what I stated on one of the Eli threads the other day.

    Plain and Simple,
Some coaches can adapt to todays game and the type of players that we have now,
    like Bill Parcells.

The game has passed Marty bye, he is still trying to play the game the way it was played in the 70's.
Also I talked about Marty benching Gannon after Elvis came back from injury, KC had won 11 games in a row or something like that.
Marty started Elvis and KC lost to Denver and I'm glad that happened because I got to
see John Elway and the Broncos win Superbowl 32.
Then Marty let Rich go and kept Elvis, bad move then he retired or left KC.

I wouldn't want my son EVER playing for Marty, I don't think he's a very good coach or
can evaluate gamers from practice players.

Alot of people in LA would rather not have a pro team in their market. Instead of having to suffer through the LA team's games no matter how crappy they are and how crappy the game is going to be, the affiliates there get to pick from the best games each week.

Imagine this scenario: last week of the season and two teams at 14-1 match up for the best record in the league and homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. Playing at the same time is your crappy home team with a 2-13 record is playing another crappy team, yet the affiliate is forced to show the home team's game no matter what.

LA has the best football watching situation in the US and many people living there most likely wouldn't care to change.

I kind of doubt the Manning family knows everything. Your reply shows that you don't think much of them. However, if Archie knew that the Rebels didn't have "a snowballs chance in hell of winning the SEC West, he surely must have been pleased this year. His Rebels were CO-CHAMPIONS of the Western division. Yes....I know LSU beat OM. That is why they were co-champions. The best team won that game and deserved the Sugar Bowl. We won't get into "if this and if that." We do that and there is no way LSU loses to Fla. Again, I think it is great to have a NC NEXT DOOR. :)
