I decided not to post my comments in all of those negative threads. I even decided not to read any more of them. I cannot express the gratitude I feel for Coach Saban. My first year at LSU was 1982, we won 3 games. Then we went on a roller coaster, bottoming out with Hallman, and emerging once again as a national powerhouse and it is ALL DUE TO NICK SABAN! Being in the Superdome when LSU won the National Championship was one of the greatest days of my life, THANK YOU COACH SABAN! Thank you for 2 SEC Championships, 1 National Championship, and 4 New Year's Day Bowls in a row. Thank you for the pride I have in wearing my LSU colors, not just in LA, but wherever I go in this entire NATION because of the success you have achieved at this University. Thank you for the improvements to our campus and facilities that would not have happened without your leadership.

I understand everyone's disappointment, but Coach is leaving us in great shape. He believes he is ready for the next level, so do I. I wish nothing but sucess and happiness for Coach Saban. I have nothing but love for Coach Saban.

Merry Christmas to all. Let's not forget the most important things in life! Merry Christmas!!

Thank You ! and in time these posts will far outnumber those other ones.

LSu is far bigger than Nick Saban. We found Coach Saban in a situation where he could not express his talents. How do WE know that there isn't another talented coach out there just waiting to come to a situation like LSU.
the program is in Alot better shape NOW than when Coach Saban came to town. WE MAY not skipa beat. Who's to say that the "next" great coach isn't the next Coach at LSU? Did anyone "know" how things would prosper under Nick Saban? NO.

Tall shoes to fill, but it can be done. No doubt there isn't a Nick Saban on every block. But who knows what proven Or unproven talent lies waiting to come to LSU. The future is STILL bright people. LSu is a Premier coaching Job in the NCAA. Miami didn't go to some Pac 10 or fly by night college to get "their" coach.
they went after a winning coach at a winning institution.

Part of what made Nick Saban what he is today is LSU. folks we ain't dead yet. Look back at LSU's past. We have very FEW dark times in the overall picture. Good times are coming. SOON!
Got It? :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux: :geaux:

He was great for LSU, but he just screwed LSU! LSU will not have a coach for a minimum of 2 weeks, and on top of that there is no one to hire. How can a new coach even think of recruiting with only a month and having never talked to any recruits? Get real....Saban just crapped on LSU and he wants to say that he is committed to LSU until Jan 2, but this Monday he will fly to Miami...real commitment! I would have wished him well if he would have handled this differently, but now I could care a less how his career ends up.

Come on guys...The Tigers are loaded next year. If we lose any recruits at all it won't make a whole hell of a lot of difference. We will hire a quality coach and we will be in good shape with the favorable schedule next season. I'm betting everyone will forget this whole episode next season...I'm going to bring this thread back when we are in the NC game next season just to show how foolish some of you are. I'd rather be looking fr a coach because he went to greener pastures than searching for someone to take over after firing one.

you know just as well as I do what a "homer" is, stop being a jerk. I have never attacked your posts, but do you realize that you never contribute a single valid point to any conversation? Also, please do not even attempt to start an education argument with me!
