    https://www.businessinsider.com/mcconnell-patriot-act-renewal-fbi-web-browsing-history-2020-5?utm

"The McConnell amendment would let Department of Justice officials — overseen by Attorney General Bill Barr — look through anyone's browsing history without the approval of a judge if they deem the browsing history relevant to an investigation. It blocks the FBI from accessing the "content" of people's web-browsing history but would let the FBI access records detailing which sites and search terms people entered."

Just imagine in 15 years when you get a divorce and the lawyers pull your browser history!

Yes this is a dangerous extension of government interference into private life. Imagine what could happen WHEN a democrat gets into power.
Congress (both parties) have been attack privacy IND individual rights for 20 years or more. The extended use of RICO, FISA, FOSTA/SESTA etc are eroding our liberty

Obviously, they did it to Trump, but this would allow for a federal database. Or, require ISP to store all this information.

Although, according to Snowden, this is probably already active. This is more of a "public acceptance".

Actually I think they’re both led by dirty scoundrels. Both want the power, neither understand or care the consequences.

Ya know, listening to the Dems, you would come away with the impression that Trump is not bright enough to be the corrupt villain they claim him to be. More like a country bumpkin from West Virginia.
