I bought my daughter an Ipad for Christmas and got her a gift card so that she could download some songs and apps that she likes. I discovered she had purchased an inappropriate song by trailer trash skank Kesha, so I deleted it and put restrictions on the device to help me monitor what she buys. However, every time she logs back into iTunes, it restores the song. I do have it set to back up to icloud, but her 'Music' is not listed for the apps backed up. According to iCloud, the last backup on the device was at 4:53am, but she downloaded the song after the last backup so I don't know how it's getting saved. How do I delete this song once and for all?

I am a dad. Of daughters. It frequently sucks. You are pissin in the wind. There are a billion options for accessing BS stuff. If you are successful and block this 1 event. That means nothing. Ignore it. I doubt you will like this answer, but when you give her an IPAD, you give her the keys to the gates of hell. You need to trust in the way that she was brought up, to know the really right from the really wrong. Let it go. I can assure you she can "show you" and that is now what you want. I am not smart, I have gone through this twice. Good Luck.

Yea once something is purchased on a certain account that user always has access to that purchase. Even with new devices. I guess what MM said by deleting it from the cloud could work but I would call apple, have them refund and remove that purchase from that account completely.

I don't think we'll have a problem from here on out. I just want to delete this one piece of shit song, but it keeps restoring everytime she logs in.
Is there a specific way to do this? I even went to 'Setting' > 'iCloud' > 'Storage and Backup' > 'Manage Storage' and deleted the last backup. It didn't work. The song still restores whenever she logs back in. The weird thing is, there's no music listed on the apps that get backed up, so I don't know where it's restoring from.

I did call Apple and they did refund the purchase, but at the time I was speaking with them, I didn't know about this issue. If no one else has any suggestions, I'll take LaSalle's and call them back. Thanks all

I could give you tech advice, depending on how much attention you have paid to the board over the years you might know I sort of have a knack for working with these techie things. ;)

In BTR we have an Apple Store in the Mall of La, they could remove it for you, don't know where you live. Let me know, I have a good friend, his Daughter has been working there for years.
