I just watched the entire Arky game, and it was like a graduation ceremony for the Tigers. We finally put together a whole game, offense, defense, and for 4 quarters, against good competition.

Before the season there was a thread about what we predicted the record to be. I said I'd be thrilled with 10-1, expected 9-2, and could still be happy with 8-3. I am very satisfied with 9-2.

We lost a lot of guys to the NFL last year. We had a young team. We had no proven QB. The team seemed to work hard and get better in jerks and fits as the season progressed. The defense was stout all year.

My hats off to Coach Saban and his staff. I bet they had to work hard to keep the team on an even keel and deal with many more unusual situations than last year. The team lacked a leader on offense, but enjoyed Sr. leadership on defense.

All in all, I am a happy camper. This year wasn't our year. Next year will be very interesting. We still need leaders to emerge on offense. We will lose a lot on defense, so we will need new leaders to emerge there. The talent is there.

I anxiously await national signing day, the spring game, and look forward to seeing our young players develop, mature, and sieze the opportunity awaiting them.

    Gooooooooooooooo TTTTTTIIIIIIGGGGGEEEEERRRRRRSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!

Coach Saban said it best after the Pig Game. Alot of credit goes to the coaching staff. It was a tougher team this year to coach than last year. No matter how you look at it, they came through. :geaux: Thanks Coach Saban and Staff!

Yep, I saw that too. he also made mention of how resilient this team was to be able to come from behind 6 times this year. As much as I've cussed and complained about their play at times, I am still extremely proud of this team. So many times this year, they could've rolled over and quit, but they didn't. That's all Saban too - to instill that type of attitude in them. Even in the Ga. blowout, they were still playing hard until the end. I love the heart of this team

Yes it was a great season, sure it would be nice to defend our SEC title, but this was Auburns year.

As far as I am concerened this has been a great and exciting season put together by Nick and the team.
    Just great.

Its great to be an LSU tiger.

I know in football, you're not really supposed to look back and think about what Cudda, Shudda, Wudda been, but ONE freakin point is all that's standing in our way from another trip to Atlanta, a probable win over Tennessee, and another SEC championship. That sux.

AND remember when they "picked" Auburn to win it all and WE did? 2003 The same year they said NEXT year should be a great LSU year, well they were right about that we did have a great year!

Interesting that you say that because I believe it too. We didn't prove it when we had the opportunity, but even though the offense has been kind of inconsistent throwing the ball, I do think we've improved since the 2 games we lost. I think if we play Georgia again right now, we beat them. And as great as Auburn's played this year, we're only one point from taking their place in Atlanta. If we played them again, it's the same type of game it was the first time around, but I like our chances. Some may disagree and accuse me of looking thorugh purple & gold colored glasses. Maybe so, but that's what I think regardless

Yep. I have very recently stated this tiger team was mediocre, and today they proved me wrong. Being wrong has never felt so good.
