You see, we don't need Joe Brady to put up huge numbers.

This is happening all over. LSU isn’t unique. Unfortunately this causes me to worry about the season. I agree the players and coaches and other staff are at low enough risk that it shouldn’t be a problem. Likewise the virus should have swept through the team’s and eliminated and concern.
The question is will they allow fans in the stadiums, will they attend etcetera? How do you socially distance in Tiger Stadium? If they have to reduce capacity whose tickets are cancelled? Finally can the schools afford the risk as I guarantee there’ll be more damn lawyers soliciting for lawsuits as soon as the first game is played.
I worry that it will be easier for them to cancel the season as they did baseball in the spring.

They won't cancel football. Even with no fans in the stands football brings in far more money than baseball's and basketball combined. The big time programs can withstand one season of reduced revenue. The smaller programs can't so there might have to be some rearranging of the schedule but Alabama will be in Tiger Stadium in early November and LSU will still hear Gator Bait by Florida fans thumbing their noses at the ban

I was optimistic, BB, but not so much now,.. these two quotes are pretty hard to ignore

White House health advisor Dr. Anthony Fauci, “Unless players are essentially in a bubble -- insulated from the community and they are tested nearly every day -- it would be very hard to see how football is able to be played this fall. If there is a second wave, which is certainly a possibility and which would be complicated by the predictable flu season, football may not happen this year.”

and this from an AD health official

"Supposing a player turns up with the virus, either because of a test, a temperature spike or symptoms, that means that player has to be quarantined... In many cases, so will people who have been in close contact with that athlete. If it’s an offensive lineman, that means the other guys on the line of scrimmage and, possibly, his position coach."

Makes you wonder how they can resume campus attendance. Not just tiger stadium, imagine 30,000 18-21 year olds partying; it will spread like wildfire.

I can recall a time in college where a fraternity member got pink eye, and within 2 weeks at least half of the fraternity had it and many girls too.

I heard college campuses must have students on campus this fall,.. financially they're doomed if they don't

It was either Fred's or Reggie's that has been open a couple of weeks. Both of them are college kid hangouts. Whichever one was already open already has a bunch of employees and customers who tested positive.
