i'm talking about the bottled water that they charge as much for as a soda. maybe it's me, but i never envisioned this happening (i mean what's next bottled air?). i agree it tastes better than tap but the pricing is ridiculous. :dis: :dis: :dis: :dis:

For about as much as it would cost to buy water monthly I usually boil my tap water (which I'm certain is made from water left over from a foot soak) and then filter it through that pitcher thing that Brita sells. I've had that thing for years. I'm a cheap ass when it comes to buying things that are "technically" free, like water.

Biggest ripoff ever. There's a sucker born every minute. Bottled Water costs more per gallon than gasoline.

bottled air is already on the market for computers and tanks you can put in your car to fill the tire.

All of this is Democracy at its finest!

The tap water up here in the Dallas area smells and tastes like dirt--especially during the summer. I have a filtered water and ice system on my fridge, and that's the water that I drink.

So true, yet everyone complains about the price of gas.

The tap water in Baton Rouge comes from an underground atesian well system that covers a large portion of this part of the state. The water is about the best tap water I ever drank and is very soft. I believe it is the same water that Kentwood Water bottles and sells. The well system does include the Kentwood area but since they have a large distribution facility in Baton Rouge I wouldn't be surprise if they filled the bottles here by opening the taps.

I use a cheap but effective Pur filter on the tap. It takes all of the chlorine taste out as well as whatever crud is in the 60-year-old pipes in my house or in the 100-year-old Baton Rouge Water System. Even my beagle likes the filtered water better. He wouldn't drink tap water in his bowl until it had sat for a day and the chlorine evaporated. He'll drink the filtered water right away.

I sure as hell wouldn't buy him Perrier.

A friend of mine has a cat who won't drink her water unless he puts ice in the bowl.
