If Jefferson completes touchdown drives early, Lee will watch the game.

If Jefferson fails to move the offense, it's a cinch Lee will come in. Why else do you have a reserve quarterback?

Unless Jefferson gets hurt or makes colossal mistakes (multiple int's or fumbles) I don't think we will see Lee. I don't think failure to move the offense alone will be reason enough for Miles to pull JJ. From listening to Miles last night, it sounds like JJ is their man and they are sticking with him.

But on the flip side, that all could be coach speak too not trying to tip their hand. I don't know... It will work it's self out. Coaches had two weeks to get ready so they should know exactly what they want to do here. We just have to wait and see. Let 'Er Rip!

Unfortunately, I think there is a lot of truth to this. And it's too bad because I think it's important that Lee get reps for multiple reason.

For one, Jefferson's reckless running style puts him at a huge risk of getting hurt. You don't want Lee to have to come off the bench ice cold.

Secondly, if JJ has a weak showing this week, it would just be the continuation of a trend. So it wouldn't be as if Miles would be pulling him for one lackluster performance. If he can't get it done against Auburn's porous defense, then the young man almost certainly won't be turning the corner at any point this season.

We have two young quarterbacks that we are trying to mold. And at this point, we don't know which one will be the future for us. It's a bad strategy to put all of your eggs in one basket in the face of such uncertainty.

Yes, they should. However, there are a number of things that they should have done so far this year that they haven't done, so I guess we'll just have to see. Miles has been known to make uncanny 2nd half adjustments in the past, so I hope that same characteristic prevails during the break.
