AP poll voter Jon Wilner voted LSU #1 in the AP poll released today http://blogs.mercurynews.com/colleg...ot-lsu-is-no-1-texas-am-georgia-and-usc-rise/
I read it somewhere else, didn't say who did in the article I read, does it say it in the one you posted?
I have noticed that news outlet before when it came to voting LSU high I believe. The guy might be a secret admirer of da Tigahs.
I have no problem with that but he surely loses all credibility with something so far off the mark like that- at least in my book.
Well, two things on that. First, if they don't count and there doesn't have to be any validity for where people put teams then we'd see a lot more #1 votes scattered. It would go from "not counting" to being a dam joke. Similar to all those 8 win teams that win a bowl game and hold up their fingers to say they're number 1. On that note, as I posted in another thread, I say they do count- even moreso than ever. If you don't think so I'll bet you 20 bucks that the top two teams at the end of the year will be in the playoffs. I'll say the top 3 and probably 4 teams will makeup 4 if the 6 teams in the field of playoffs.
