vs the warriors. good job hornets, you apparently have prolific scorers all along the bench where marcus wasnt a primary need. ugh

Good for him. I'm glad he got out because he didn't fit in well with the Hornets. The downside of having stubborn coaches.

Since the trade he has only averaged twice what he averaged with the hornets. And Carl Landry is doing worse with us than he did with the kings where he was awful.

The Hornets needed big man depth more than they needed a non-defending scoring guard. I'm happy for Marcus. He's going to fit in well with the Kings.

But what they got for Thornton was a a softer David West. I mean did we really need a post player even more terrible than West?

First of all, West isn't terrible. That's just a horribly uneducated thing for you to say.

Secondly, yes. Yes the Hornets needed a post player less talented than David West. It was the one area on the team that lacked a sufficient backup to spell West and provide a strong post presence in West/Okafor's absence. The Hornets aren't getting pushed around nearly as much since his arrival and West ins't burned out at the end of every game. When West leaves next year, the Hornets won't be panicking to find a replacement, either. Okefor has had foul trouble a couple games the past week or so and Landry's contributions in his place are a very large reason why the Hornets won. Thornton simply could not have provided that for the Hornets.

In a perfect world, the Hornets would have found a way to have both on the roster. It's nt about who the better player is, but how they fit on the team. Landry is exactly what the Hornets needed and Thornton is exactly what the Kings needed. No one for the Kings misses Landry not getting defensive rebounds and no one in Creole Blue has missed MT getting beat off the dribble by scrubs or picked every-freaking-time one bit...
