Vanderbilt coach Kevin Stallings said. "That still boggles my mind because based on what I've seen on tape, that kid's as good as anybody in our league. He shoots the ball well. He handles it well. He passes it well. He blocks shots better than maybe anybody I've ever seen in this league. "He rebounds it great. There's just nothing he can't do, and to think that he's only a freshman is just incredible. He's been the most impactful defensive player just because of his shot blocking and defensive rebounding. I would say that Tyrus Thomas is the most intimidating, impactful defensive player that I've seen in our league." TT DMitch and Baby.
all of lsu's starters will be all sec. baby and dmitch will be first or second team and the other three will atleast be on the freshman team. id guess baby and dmitch on first team (along with brewer, lofton and davidson?) TT might make second team.
Thomas leads the SEC in blocked shots with 3.1 a game and is second only to teammate Glen Davis in rebounding with 9.2 a game to 9.7 and in double-doubles with 12 to 14. Don't forget about the big games he had against UConn, Miss St, Tenn, Vandy, Ark. and AU.
