This is a topic from the radio show today and I just want to get more feedback on it. Some people will say that you can't be negative about your team and you have to go to every game to be a fan. I completely disagree. If your team stinks, you should voice your opinion. You can't candy coat it. If you don't go to the games, it doesnt make you any less of a fan. I wouldn't want to go watch a bad product. I dont blame people for not going to watch bad teams. Any thoughts?

Being constantly negative about your team does not mean you are not a fan.

It does, however, mean you're a whiny bitch that I don't want to listen to. Still a fan? Yes. But you're also an a**hole.

I'd never be embarassed to wear a t-shirt with my team on it. I'll still root for them. But, if you want to say that the team sucks, I am have problem with it. I agree that constant bashing gets old. I don't believe you are any less of a fan if you complain.

its about specific situations, whether u go to a game or go do something else. the passion you have for your team that cant be shown on an internet forum really. i think only the person can know, its taht feeling as u watch the ball fly out of the stadium, the ball sail through the net, the player break loose, your team celebrating. u cant describe it really IMO

First off you have to love the team to really be considered a fan. That being said, fans can be critical of their teams but as stated the constant bitching and whining really detracts from it and just makes the person look like a douchebag. This leave you out of the LSU fandom scrap, you don't have the love. You definetly have the critical, whine and bitch part down but not the fan part.

That just gave me a strange thought.....If "not going" to see the Tigers play at the Box or being critical of a "poor product" makes you less of a "LSU FAN", then I'm a better LSU fan than some of you. I still go to the Box and seldom am critical of them....:hihi: :hihi: :hihi: Really kind of enjoy them... makes me think of another question....

HOW MUCH MONEY DOES IT TAKE TO BECOME A CONTRIBUTOR? J/K
