Morel mushrooms

    Do these grow here in LA? I used to hunt the shiat out of morels in Iowa, but wasn't sure if they grew here so never tried. Besides copperheads scare the bajeebees out of me. Awesome tasting lightly breaded and cooked in some hot grease.

    Not sure what those are but if they're the ones that grow on cow patties, I had a couple of friends in HS who used to love to boil them.

    I'll try and get a picture up, but they're mushrooms that grow in a christmas tree like cone, and look like a sponge. Like I said in the original post they're very good eating.
