So Cal LSU Alumni Chapter will gather for football games this year at On the Rocks sports bar, 239 N. Harbor Dr., Redondo Beach, CA 90277 -- ocean view, lots of TVs, great beer and food. We'll be there this Sat for 6 p.m. (PDT) kickoff to watch our Tigers gnaw on some Badgers. All LSU fans are welcome. If you are not going to Houston, and you are in Southern California, come party with us. We do all the LSU cheers to LSU music. More info, go to http://www.lsusocal.org/. It's a bit of a drive for me... When I'm not watching games at home or at work, I've gone to the LAX Marriott sports bar. Usually more LSU fans there than opponents' fans. Also, they have a great swimming pool there. When my kids were young, we'd check in for the weekend and enjoy the pool, hot-tub and the watching the convention gathers.

Roy_LA_CA, Thanks for your response. On the Rocks is a 60-mile drive for me as was Mr. Pockets, Manhattan Beach, where we were for 12 years. So I understand the drive. But if you could make it occasionally, I think you would enjoy being with 50 to 100+ Tiger fans doing all the LSU game cheers. We have a blast. Sept. 6th game party will feature The Mudbug Brass Band playing New Orleans jazz, at 2:30 p.m. A Celebration of Life for three of our chapter members who passed in 2014, will be at 3:30 and then the band will resume playing until 4:30 p.m.kickoff with Sam Houston St. Hope you, and anyone else in So Cal who reads this, might make this one, and if not, maybe another one down-the-road, and if you do, please identify yourself to me, Dan. Geaux Tigers!

It was great to meet a lot of you. On the Rocks is a good space with a great view of the marina, though I will miss having the whole upstairs to ourselves at Pockets.

Sorry to hear about the untimely passing of Charley. He was a fun guy.
